COMPANY OVERVIEW
Cyantek is a supplier of high purity process chemicals used in the manufacture of microlithography photomasks, wafer processing for semiconductors, thin film heads, storage discs, and flat panel displays.
The company was founded in 1977 to serve the needs of photomask manufactures. In 1988 LaPorte Industries acquired Cyantek, combining their world renowned presence with the innovative products from Cyantek. In 1990, Cyantek introduced the Nano-Strip™ products for photomask and wafer resist stripping and cleaning. This popular product is a stabilized Sulfuric Acid and Hydrogen Peroxide mixture, also knows as Piranha strip and is used worldwide, for stripping organic materials such as photoresist, during the photolithography mask making process and wafer processing fabs.
In 2001, OM Group Inc. Specialties acquired Cyantek, along with other LaPorte In 2008 as part of their long-range growth strategy. See our News Releases for more information.
Cyantek continues to be one of the primary suppliers of process chemicals to the photomask making industry and has a broad presence in the wafer processing, flat panel display, photovoltaic and other electronics manufacturing industries, around the world. We have distribution locations domestically in California, Texas, Arizona, along with worldwide points in Singapore, Korea, Taiwan, France and England.
In 2001, Rockwood Specialties acquired Cyantek, along with other LaPorte companies and formed Rockwood Electronic Materials. In 2008 OM Group, Inc. (www.omgi.com) acquired all of Rockwood Electronics Materials as part of their long-range growth strategy. See our News Releases for more information.
Cyantek provides a full line of developers, metal etchants, organic strippers, cleaners and customized blends for IC, thin film, FPD and mask manufacturing technologies. Our products are used on chrome, iron oxide and silicon dioxide, along with other specialized substrates.
